Dr. Branfman’s previous writing experience was funneled into textbooks, research journals, and slews of medical articles for the lay press. Feeling that his creativity was incarcerated within the confines of these technical works, he set out to write a love story. As he was writing, Arab-Israeli tensions hit a boiling point, as did his frustration with the “…incomprehensible absurdity of the Middle-East Crisis”. With 9-11 as his wake-up call, Dr. Branfman superimposed his love story upon the scorching emotional backdrop of Jewish-Muslim relations. This compilation gave rise to his novel: SURREAL ETERNITY.
Dr. Branfman, his wife, three daughters and black Labrador retriever live in Victoria, Texas, where he is in the solo practice of Plastic Surgery.
